MEMORIES OF RON ~ DAVID

Julie made him stop smoking if he wanted to be around his grandkids, so he stopped.  Once retired, Ron and Laurel would drive to Morgan Hill to babysit Derek while Julie and I went to work.

  Ron bought property in Hollister and wanted to grow “Fruits and Nuts.”  I printed shirts for his retirement that said “We’re Fruits and Nuts.”  I had a trencher that he allowed me to keep on the property and he distributed sprinklers all around the

property to water his raspberries, later his pomegranate trees to make jelly.

  I remember going to Pinecrest with Ron, Laurel, family and the dogs.

  I rebuilt the engine in his Jeep Renegade and he started driving it around town on occasion.
