MEMORIES OF RON ~ JODY
I used to work at a clothing store and would see cool button down shirts that were fun patterns. I would buy them for my grandpa knowing he'd be the only one in my family willing to wear them. I gifted him many shirts throughout the years for birthdays and Christmas. He would always wear one when he knew I was going to
be over.
One year I got him a really awesome white fish shirt. He was so happy when he opened it and of course put it on. The next time he came over I recognized he had a new shirt but somehow it looked familiar as well. It was a similar fish shirt but it was pink instead. The whole time I was just staring at his shirt wondering if I had seen it before. At dinner he explained how he was doing laundry and had a really nice red rug that he wanted to wash with some of his clothes. When he took the clothes out, the inside pocket of every pair of jeans and the fish shirt had a very even pink color. No tye-dye, no splotches, not even just a tint, but a perfectly even coat like you bought it that way. It was the same shirt but a little different. We all had a great laugh and it became one of my favorite shirts.
