MEMORIES OF RON ~ JODY

  I remember when I was probably around 4 years old and Derek and I got to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house to play. It was a super hot day and they put the sprinklers on for us to run through in their back yard. We were still in our normal clothes but we ran and sprayed each other with the hose until we were both dripping with water and tired. I came to realize later in life that if you do that on a hot day it totally fries your grass to the point of no return.

  We went inside and Grandma made dinner and put our clothes in the wash giving us Grandpa's shirt to wear (which for our size, it was     mistaken as a nightgown).  Grandpa put on the SpongeBob Movie so we could all watch it, knowing how obsessed Derek and I were. We watched the SpongeBob Movie and laughed together while having hot chocolates. It was a great night.

  What I found out way later in life was that Grandpa had just  figured out how to record stuff on DirecTV and was bugging my mom for weeks for a time we could come over and watch it. He wanted an excuse to have the grandkids over even though he didn't ever need one.
